Clint's Corner: Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Pens |
In Clint’s Corner, you will find product recommendations from Clint, the Blue Umbrella cashier. Each month he will suggest some of his favorite and top selling products!
This month, Clint recommends the hand-turned wooden pens from the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ASB). Clint is a proud alumnus of ASB, Class of 2002.
These pens are unique in so many ways and each is one of a kind. The pens are made from oak, cherry, and mahogany wood and come with the option of either a gold or silver tip.
That’s not the only special thing about them though. Each pen is handmade and assembled by a student from ASB. And money from each pen that is sold goes directly back to the school.
So, not only are you giving someone – or yourself! – an amazing gift, you are also directly supporting the students at ASB.
As is, these pens are already such a remarkable gift, but you can make them even more special. Clint is excited to announce that you can also have these pens engraved for a small fee. Clint says this only takes 5-7 business days, but really adds that distinctive touch.
You don’t ever have to worry about ink either. These pens are easily refillable with a Cross brand-style refill, so they make the perfect gift that keeps on giving.
You can make that birthday, graduation, retirement, or any special occasion extra special by stopping in the Blue Umbrella and grabbing a noteworthy gift that you can’t find anywhere else!

Artisan Spotlight: Estie Determination, dedication, and diamonds. Our friend Estie uses these three things to make her business - Estie's Delightful Diamond Paintings and More - a source of joy for herself and others.
For Christmas of 2018, one of Estie’s sisters was gifted a diamond painting art set. Estie watched her sister piece together the diamond art in awe. She decided that she wanted to try one, and once she started, she never stopped!
